AASV 2022 Annual Meeting - Registration Agreement

Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the American Association of Swine Veterinarians (“AASV”) is implementing additional guidelines and expectations for the 2022 American Association of Swine Veterinarians Annual Meeting (the "Annual Meeting"). All staff members, volunteers, speakers, exhibitors, and attendees at the Annual Meeting will be expected to comply with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guidelines, and all "best practices" recommended by the State of Indiana, Marion County, and the City of Indianapolis. These guidelines are subject to change. The most up-to-date information can be found at aasv.org/annmtg/2022/covid-19.php.
The AASV expects that all in-person attendees at the Annual Meeting will strictly adhere to all virus mitigation strategies imposed by AASV at the Annual Meeting. As recommended by public health officials, the AASV expects attendees to be fully vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2. If you are medically unable to be vaccinated, you should receive a negative COVID test within 48 hours of attending the annual meeting. By registering for the Annual Meeting, you acknowledge that your registration and permission to attend the Annual Meeting and associated functions may be refused or revoked for any reason, including but not limited to any refusal by you to comply with virus mitigation strategies implemented by AASV.
By registering for the meeting, the attendee affirms the following:
I agree to comply with all requirements AASV may request of me with the goal of preventing or limiting the transmission of COVID-19 at the Annual Meeting in February/March 2022 depending upon recommendations in effect at the time of the Annual Meeting. These might include maintaining physical distance, using frequent and appropriate hand hygiene, and wearing an effective face covering in public settings, especially in situations where other physical distancing measures are difficult to maintain or as may be requested by AASV representatives. Furthermore, I agree that I will not attend the Annual Meeting, or any part of it, if I experience any signs or symptoms consistent with COVID-19 such as fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches, headache, or loss of taste or smell.
I understand and am aware of the inherent risks which naturally arise from attending the Annual Meeting such as being exposed to, contracting, or becoming a carrier of COVID-19 or any other infectious disease. Despite my understanding of the risks associated with attending the Annual Meeting, by choosing to attend the Annual Meeting, and voluntarily and knowingly participating in activities associated with the Annual Meeting, I consciously assume and accept all risks of being exposed to, contracting or becoming a carrier of, COVID-19 and each and every consequences or complications that may arise as a result. Further, I hereby release AASV and all of its officers, agents, and affiliates from any and all liability arising from my voluntary choice to attend the Annual Meeting.
I agree to follow all rules, guidelines, and precautions implemented by the hotel and the AASV to minimize the risk of virus transmission and otherwise facilitate a safe Annual Meeting.
I further acknowledge that the AASV reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct is deemed:
- disorderly or disruptive;
- contrary to the mission of the AASV; or
- noncompliant with the AASV’s or the hotel’s rules, guidelines, precautions, and expectations, implemented at or in connection with the Annual Meeting.
I agree that any such determination, in the sole discretion of AASV, will result in a termination of my privilege to attend Annual Meeting events without obligation to refund any of my admission, event, travel, or other fees or costs.
