Donated by: AVMA PLIT
Purchased by: Daryl Olsen - $800

http://www.landbigfish.com/images/store/swatches/PleugerPatriarchSW.jpg
Sometimes it's just difficult, especially in the wind, to cast lightweight lures and smaller soft plastics. That used to be an issue, but no more, thanks to NRX technology! First of all, you'll be amazed at how light this rod is, and if you doubt the power, just rig it up and give it a try. Only then will you understand what high performance is all about. Add to that sensitivity beyond belief and you've now only just begun to understand NRX. The extra-fast taper allows you to make low, accurate casts so you can fish right up under the brush - and when a real "toad" grabs your bait, you'll be in total control. If you need to cast soft plastic jerkbaits and Senkos, this is the one! Here are the specs: G Loomis NRX 852S, JWR 7'1", 1 piece, 6-12 lb line weight, 1/8-3/8 lure weight, Extra-fast action, Medium power.

Now for the reel: The Plueger Patriarch Model 9525X spinning reel delivers lightweight handling and top-of-the-line durability. The ultra lightweight magnesium body, rotor, and sideplate are protected with a proprietary 3-step coating to provide premium corrosion resistance and durability. Its solid titanium main shaft is 30% stronger and 43% lighter than comparable stainless steel shafts. The sealed carbon drag system and durable tiatnium-coated line roller are sure to bring a fish to a stop! Key features include: 1) 9 stainless steel bearings, 2) On/Off instant anti-reverse bearing, 3) XCR bearings in key locations, 4) Ultra lightweight magnesium body, rotor, and sideplate, 5) Lightweight aluminum spool with carbon arbor, and 6) Sealed carbon fiber drag system.
