Swine residency position
Michigan State University is offering a swine residency starting
July 1, 2008, that provides an opportunity to acquire credentials
and expertise to perform advanced service and consultation to the
food-animal industry. The resident will obtain advanced clinical
training with Dr James Kober and will have the opportunity to
pursue graduate studies. The applicant should be a graduate of an
accredited veterinary college and optionally have 1 year of related
practice. An internship can be provided for applicants seeking only

Production veterinarian wanted
Carthage Veterinary Service, Ltd (CVS) is looking for a
veterinarian to join their swine-specific, nine-veterinarian team.
The position includes herd responsibilities for three to five of
the 2400- to 6400-sow herds, client consultation visits, and
regular growing-pig diagnostics. CVS provides an excellent
environment to focus on swine production and diagnostics. The team
atmosphere fosters the opportunity to learn from other
veterinarians. CVS also works closely with several swine diagnostic
