We're looking for detail-oriented, independent professionals to take responsibility for supervising the safety and efficacy monitoring of vaccines for various animal species in the United States. Specific tasks include generating and implementing trial protocols, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements, compiling and analyzing study data, and writing reports for submission to licensing authorities. Investigators will also organize and conduct intensive GLP and GCP studies for vaccines; collaborate with European counterparts to ensure that the global plan for product licensure includes all necessary studies; and present and publish study data in relevant veterinary forums to support claims and uphold the scientific reputation of Pfizer Inc. A DVM and PhD or other advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline and a strong clinical orientation are required. Experience as a clinical veterinarian is highly desirable. Strong statistical competence, knowledge of GCP/GLP/USDA, postgraduate experience in academic or industrial veterinary science research, and a strong clinical background in production animals are desired.

Fellowship for graduate study in clinical swine nutrition and production at Kansas State University

Seeking a veterinarian with swine practice or production experience to pursue a PhD in Clinical Swine Nutrition and Production. The program will focus on the grow-finish pig but specific details will be tailored to the individual candidate's interest. Training in all aspects of applied clinical swine nutrition will be provided. Upon completion of the program, the candidate will have a strong training in epidemiological and economic analysis of swine production systems with emphasis on nutrition. The candidate will have the opportunity to solve problems using on-farm research with several leading edge swine production systems.

Annual stipend is $32,500, annually renewable upon satisfactory progress toward a degree.
