Director of Veterinary Science
The National Pork Producers Council is seeking a Director of Veterinary Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing pre-harvest food safety programs related to potential parasitic and microbial pathogens, and overseeing and administering the department's pre-harvest pork safety and swine health research responsibilities. This will include development and delivery of educational material for producers and veterinarians, and responsibility for technical advice with respect to regulatory oversight. In addition, this position will address emerging pork safety or swine health issues.
Position requirements include a DVM, with advanced degrees encouraged and experience with the pork industry preferred. Applicants must be able to communicate orally and in writing with producers, veterinarians, government officials, and other professionals, and to translate veterinary medical terms and situations for producers and other audiences.

Swine Technical Veterinarian/Key Manager

Faculty Position in Swine Production Medicine
The Department of Clinical Studies at New Bolton Center, School of Veterinary Medicine University of Pennsylvania, invites applications for a faculty position in swine production medicine. Level of appointment will be commensurate with experience.
The successful applicant will contribute to the continued growth of the New Bolton Center Swine Program through teaching swine production medicine to veterinary students, offering outreach programs and clinical service to the Pennsylvania swine industry, and conducting collaborative or independent research in swine production medicine. Qualifications include V.M.D. or equivalent degree and advance training in an academic discipline relevant to swine medicine or extensive experience in clinical practice.
